Drew McIntyre took legitimate offense to recent comments made by CM Punk and Roman Reigns. The Undisputed WWE Champion felt the duo diminished SmackDown and his title during their WrestleMania 42 confrontation on Raw.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, McIntyre clarified his frustration stemmed from the disrespect directed at the blue brand, rather than any personal digs.

“I don’t care, say whatever you want about me. I can protect myself and look after myself verbally. They weren’t even that bad. Whatever one person said, the other one defended me.”

“It was the stuff about the title and SmackDown, making it feel a little less than when they’re such big Superstars. Just focus on the title and each other.”

He hasn’t ignored the slight, addressing the situation directly on the February 6 broadcast. McIntyre called out both men for their insecurity while defending his championship reign.

“I went out, did a Braveheart speech on Friday because I was legitimately upset. As far as I’m concerned, it’s done. It seems to be done now. They’re focused on their stuff, we’re focused on our stuff.”

The animosity reignited after Reigns won the Royal Rumble. During the February 2 Netflix episode, Reigns challenged World Heavyweight Champion Punk, dismissing McIntyre as the easier opponent.

McIntyre shares bitter history with both men. Punk cost him multiple championships throughout 2024, while Reigns retained his title against the Scottish veteran at Clash at the Castle 2022.
