Former WWE Champion Wrestles First Match in Nearly Two Months

Jimmy Uso returned to televised WWE in-ring competition during the May 16 SmackDown. He immediately entered a high-stakes triple threat match. This was his first contest since a violent sidelining earlier this year.

Before this return, Gunther had brutally assaulted Jimmy Uso. The attack happened on The Road to WrestleMania as Jimmy attempted to motivate his brother, Jey Uso, leaving him busted open. Though he later appeared supporting Jey, Jimmy had not wrestled on television since the incident.

In his comeback match, Jimmy Uso vied for a Money in the Bank qualifying spot. He battled Solo Sikoa and Rey Fenix. Though Jimmy showcased his capabilities when pushed, interferences significantly impacted the bout’s direction.

Jacob Fatu’s interference led to Jimmy Uso being incapacitated by a Samoan Spike. Later, an intervention by JC aided Solo Sikoa. Sikoa then hit a Samoan Spike on Rey Fenix, pinning him for the win.
