AEW’s BJ Whitmer Arrested on Serious Charges

On the night of June 4, AEW producer BJ Whitmer found himself in the custody of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Kentucky. The charges against him are severe, including first-degree strangulation and second-degree burglary. The former charge is applied when one individual chokes another, causing injury, while the latter pertains to non-residential burglaries.

A bond of $25,000 was set for Whitmer, and he is now bound to a Grand Jury. After spending some time in custody, Whitmer was released on June 12, 2023, as indicated by the release comments stating “FINAL RELEASE.”
