Kofi Kingston, a renowned figure in the wrestling world, has been absent from the ring since March due to an injury that required surgical intervention. The incident occurred during an episode of WWE SmackDown, where Kingston was injured during a ringside spot involving Drew McIntyre.

Kingston was subsequently replaced by Xavier Woods in a fatal five-way Intercontinental Title number one contender’s match. Following this, he underwent surgery to remove a bone chip and repair a ligament in his ankle.

In a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Kingston shared updates on his recovery process. He stated, “I’m actually in Orlando right now doing some rehab on my ankle… And now I’m on the mend. You know somewhere in between a robot and a zombie and you know, so somewhere in between I’m working my way back to the fold.”

He further elaborated that it’s been 12 weeks post-operation and he’s been able to do a lot of “normal people things and live normal life.” He is now focusing on transitioning to “WWE Superstar things,” indicating his intention to return to the ring.

Kingston’s recovery seems to be progressing well, and he is hopeful for a return to the ring sooner rather than later. His fans and fellow wrestlers eagerly await his return, ready to see him back in action.
