Seth Rollins Discusses WrestleMania Talent Selection
In a recent conversation with Mark Andrews on My Love Letter to Wrestling, Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, shared his thoughts on the balance between full-time and part-time talents at WrestleMania. Rollins emphasized the importance of rewarding those who make year-round sacrifices to be in the best position for WrestleMania.
Rollins stated, “I think it’s a balance, right? Because we’ve got so many people on our roster and so many people make sacrifices year in and year out to be in the best position they can be in when it comes time for WrestleMania, and you want to reward that. I think it’s important to reward that sacrifice.”

However, he also acknowledged the significance of WrestleMania as a massive multimedia event, which has always included a mix of full-time and part-time talents. He noted, “You go all the way back to the first WrestleMania, it was built on the backs of Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Connection… so there is a place for that type of talent when used properly.”
Rollins further highlighted the unique challenges of wrestling year-round and the limited number of individuals who can perform at such a level consistently. He concluded by emphasizing the importance of prioritizing those who put in the time before offering significant spots to individuals who have gained fame in other areas.
