WWE NXT Wrestling (06/13/2023) – Full Coverage and Results!

On Tuesday night, WWE and the USA Network will host another episode of NXT from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.

The highlight of the night is a fight between Baron Corbin and Ilja Dragunov. The trio of NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, Mustafa Ali and Tyler Bate will clash Schism, and Cora Jade will face Thea Hail.

The broadcast is live! Vic Joseph and Booker T warmly welcome viewers watching from their homes while Schism makes his way towards the wrestling ring. Accompanying Schism are Wes Lee, Tyler Bate, and Mustafa Ali as they follow suit.

Six Man Tag Team Match: Wes Lee, Tyler Bate and Mustafa Ali vs. Schism (w/ Ava)
– Tyler performs a Bop Bang on Gacy, followed by a rebound lariat, to finish with a Tyler Driver ’97.

Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey continue to point out Thea Hail’s mistakes, provoking her ahead of their match tonight. Duke Hudson shows up and asks them to leave and go train. Once alone in the classroom, he calls Andre Chase, but it goes to voicemail. Hudson leaves him a message, trying to find out how his recovery is going before informing him that things at Chase U are not going very well.

Bron Breakker makes his entrance to the ring as the crowd chants Seth Rollins’ theme song. Bron smiles. Breakker recalls that last week he took down the biggest superstar from Europe (Ilja Dragunov) and later challenged Seth Rollins. Bron acknowledges Rollins’ talent and accomplishments, but that won’t matter when he faces him. Breakker asks where the WWE World Heavyweight Champion is, but it’s Ilja who appears.

Several officials take him away while Bron continues with his promo. Suddenly, Rollins interrupts him from the screen. Seth points out that he likes how directly he challenged him. Furthermore, he thinks it’s a great idea to return to his home. So, next week he will be here and put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Breakker! The crowd erupts in joy as Seth dances to his song.

A promotional video of Dana Brooke is shown, highlighting her time in NXT and her accomplishments on the main roster. Afterward, McKenzie interviews her backstage. Dana states that she doesn’t care where she wrestles because she loves being in the ring. Brooke assures that she has given her all. Cora interrupts, upset about Dana’s participation in last week’s battle royal. Jade assures her that nobody wants her here. With that said, she slaps Dana and walks away. “That’s right, run, flee,” Brooke remarks as she tries to compose herself.

In the locker room, Wes Lee, Mustafa Ali, and Tyler Bate celebrate their victory tonight. Ali mentions that now that they have resolved this issue, it’s time to focus on the title match between Wes and Bate. Ali suggests being the special referee, but first, it’s time to go have dinner.

Singles Match: Thea Hail vs. Cora Jade
– Cora confronts Dana at ringside until she strikes her. Jade grabs her kendo stick and tries to hit Thea, but the referee stops her. The official takes the weapon away, and Brooke takes her revenge by throwing Jade into the metal stairs. Thea brings her opponent back into the ring, where she applies a Kimura lock. Jade has no choice but to tap-out.

Shawn Michaels announces through social media NXT Gold Rush, a two-week event starting next week. Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker for the World Heavyweight Championship will be the main event of the first night, while Carmelo Hayes will defend the NXT Title on the second night against the winner of the match between Baron Corbin and Ilja Dragunov tonight.

In the ring, Noam Dar accuses Nathan Frazer of attacking him in the parking lot. As a result, Dar is using crutches. Noam asks Ooro Mensah to fight in his place and defend the honor and the Heritage Cup.

Match for the Heritage Cup Championship: Nathan Frazer vs. Ooro Mensah
– Jakara and Lash distract the referee, but Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon appear to take care of them. Nathan executes a Phoenix Splash for win.

Nathan celebrates in the center of the ring alongside Dragon Lee, Leon, and Feroz, while a distraught Dar cries in Lash’s arms.

We see a promotional video starring Lyra Valkyria, who recalls being very close to the NXT Women’s Championship in recent weeks. However, she has always failed. But it doesn’t matter because nothing significant is achieved without effort.

In backstage, Mr. Stone asks Von Wagner about his sessions with the therapist. Von states that they are going well. However, Stone wants to know when he will fully open up to her. Von replies that he will only do so with someone he truly trusts. Anxiously, Stone asks who that person could be. Wagner responds that it’s him. Mr. Stone is surprised by the answer as Von leaves the area.

Handicap Match: Dabba-Kato vs. Axiom & SCRYPTS
– Axiom launches himself with a moonsault at ringside. Tag to SCRYPTS, who repeats the move inside the ring. Tag back to Axiom, who finishes the match with a Golden Ratio.

The Lotahrios assault the victorious team as they celebrate in the ring! The crowd chants, “Welcome!”

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo stands in front of a board with all the clues he has to find the “rat” who betrayed Tony D’Angelo. Stacks is convinced that it was the members of Gallus, but now is not the time to get angry but to be smart and carefully plan his next move. That’s what he must do in his current position as the boss.

In backstage, Duke Hudson shows his pride in Thea Hail, believing that she can become the youngest Women’s Champion in history. Tiffany Stratton interrupts them to mock Hail, stating that she’s just a girl with unattainable dreams. Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey appear to talk to Thea, but they only manage to upset her more, prompting Hudson to ask them to leave.

Singles Match: Malik Blade vs. Edris Enofé
– Blade manages to pin Enofé and win.

Edris congratulates Blade, mentioning his upcoming birthday. Booker T interrupts them to announce that the three teams in the ring will face each other in a triple threat match next week. The winning team will earn a title shot against Gallus on the second night of NXT Gold Rush. The three teams set aside sportsmanship and start brawling. Meanwhile, Los Lotharios observe the chaos from the platform alongside the crowd. McKenzie asks them what they’re doing in NXT, and the Latinos state that they love this tag team division.

In backstage, Damon Kemp shows the referee from their match last week the mistake he made. The referee apologizes, but Kemp doesn’t care. Eddy Thorpe appears, and Kemp accuses him of being a cheater. Eddy proposes that Kemp chooses any type of match, and they can face each other again. Kemp says he’ll think about it before walking away.

Blair takes the spotlight in a promotional video as she walks through the parking lot where she attacked Nikkita Lyons, Wendy Choo, and Sol Ruca. Finally, she addresses Roxanne Perez, stating that she has escaped her… for now.

Singles Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Tatum Paxley
– Roxy hits a springboard crossbody. Paxley escapes to ringside, but Perez dives onto her with a suicide dive. Back in the ring, Tatum regains the advantage, but her rival surprises her with an unexpected roll-up for the victory.

Perez grabs a microphone and calls out Blair Davenport, accusing her of hiding in the shadows for months. Roxy states that she’s the one who will go after her now and make her pay for everything she has done to the NXT women’s division.

Gigi Dolin is furious with Kiana James, who eliminated her from the battle royal last week. Fallon Henley appears and confirms that James is a snake. Dolin knows it very well, so she wishes her luck dealing with her.

We see a promotional video of Lucien Price and Bronco Nima, showcasing their friendship since childhood. They announce their imminent debut on the brand.

Singles Match: Ilja Dragunov vs. Baron Corbin
– After interference from Bron Breakker, Corbin won with an ‘End of Days’.

Ilja and Bron take their intense fight to ringside. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Carmelo Hayes attacks Corbin, hitting him with a springboard clothesline before finishing him off with a Nothing but Net. Melo grabs the NXT title and raises it in front of his fallen rival, bringing an end to this week’s episode.
