A significant injury has once again altered the trajectory of Noam Dar’s career, forcing him to relinquish the NXT Heritage Cup for the second time. The development was confirmed by NXT General Manager Ava ahead of the upcoming episode of the show.
Dar, who only returned to action in April after an 11-month absence, had quickly recaptured the Heritage Cup by defeating Lexis King, marking his fourth reign with the championship. His previous injury led to the disbanding of his Meta Four faction with Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Ava detailed the unfortunate situation and outlined the immediate future of the championship.

The news of Dar’s setback is part of a wider trend of significant injuries impacting WWE and its partners. An update on Liv Morgan revealed her recent shoulder dislocation is more severe than initially thought and will require surgery. Her absence, expected to last the remainder of 2025, has reportedly forced WWE to scrap “massive creative plans,” including a rumored program with Nikki Bella for the Evolution 2 premium live event in July.
On SmackDown, it was announced during the June 20 broadcast that Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly is also out of action with an undisclosed injury. The team’s last match occurred on the May 2 episode of the program.
The cross-promotional partnership between WWE and TNA also saw a top talent sidelined. During a guest appearance on the June 17 episode of WWE NXT, TNA star Elijah suffered a torn left triceps after landing awkwardly. TNA confirmed the injury and announced he has already undergone successful surgery. In a sign of their collaborative relationship, TNA’s medical staff was present at the WWE Performance Center to assist with his immediate evaluation.
Meanwhile, a report on June 21 provided an update on Rey Mysterio, who has been out of action since being injured in a six-man tag team match just before WrestleMania 41 in April. The WWE Hall of Famer is now expected to make his in-ring return by August 2025.
