42-Year-Old Former WWE Superstar Must Return After 5 Years As Royal Rumble Surprise
The WWE Royal Rumble 2024, scheduled to take place at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida, is generating excitement with the possibility of surprise entrants. Among the anticipated participants, a former WWE Superstar, Shawn Spears, previously known as Tye Dillinger, is rumored to make a return after a five-year hiatus.
Shawn Spears, who recently announced his departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has not competed in a WWE match since February 18, 2019. His return to WWE could mark an attempt to secure his first championship in the company. Spears concluded his social media announcement with “#10”, referencing his catchphrase during his WWE tenure.

In addition to Spears, CM Punk, who made a stunning return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, has confirmed his participation in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Cody Rhodes, last year’s Men’s Royal Rumble winner, also aims to compete for another title match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
The Royal Rumble event is known for its surprises and serves as the kickoff to the road to WrestleMania 40.
