NXT Global Heritage Invitational Matches Announced for August 29
The NXT Global Heritage Invitational has confirmed its first two matches. Butch and Charlie Dempsey, both from Group A, are set to compete in a singles match on the August 29 episode of WWE NXT. Meanwhile, in Group B, Nathan Frazer will face Joe Coffey.
The victor of this tournament will challenge Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy on September 30.
Additionally, on the same August 29 episode, Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez are scheduled to compete against Dana Brooke and Kelani Jordan.
The full list of competitors for the WWE NXT Global Heritage Invitational has been officially announced. The eight-man tournament will feature Superstars from various countries. Group A includes Tyler Bate, Butch, Charlie Dempsey, and Axiom. Group B comprises Joe Coffey, Duke Hudson, Nathan Frazer, and Akira Tozawa.
The tournament will follow a Round Robin-style format with two groups of four Superstars each. Matches are limited to 12 minutes. A win by pinfall or submission grants 2 points, while a draw earns 1 point. The winner of Group A will face the Group B winner on the September 26 episode. The champion of this face-off will then challenge for the NXT Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy.
