Drew McIntyre detailed the ongoing support he has received from The Rock during an interview with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes. McIntyre explained that The Rock’s mentorship dates back to his first WWE run.
Yeah, and that’s never lost on me. He’s always been a supporter of mine from my first run. I remember seeing his ex, Mrs Dany Garcia that he works with at such a high level, and she’d said such positive words when I was about 22-23 years old on a plane about how highly they thought of me, which was very cool.

McIntyre noted that The Rock’s support continued even during his time away from WWE. The Rock publicly endorsed McIntyre in a 2017 TMZ interview, calling him “the next guy” despite McIntyre not having a prominent position at that time.
