Rey Mysterio confirmed his injury required surgical intervention at Andrews Sports Medicine in Alabama. The WWE Hall of Famer tore his adductor during a six-man tag match on SmackDown.
“Getting ready for my surgery. I tore my Adductor at The Smackdown before Wrestlemania,” Mysterio shared via Instagram Stories. He promised fans regular updates about his recovery process.

The injury forced Mysterio to withdraw from his scheduled WrestleMania 41 bout against El Grande Americano. Rey Fenix replaced him but fell victim to Americano’s masked weapon attack.
