A WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match is scheduled for WWE Backlash: St. Louis, as Becky Lynch will challenge the titleholder, Lyra Valkyria.
The bout was finalized during the April 28 broadcast of WWE Raw from Kansas City, MO, following a tense in-ring segment involving both competitors initiated by Lynch’s explanations for her recent aggressive behavior.
On the program, Becky Lynch addressed her actions from the prior week’s Raw After Mania show, specifically revealing she was responsible for an attack on Bayley preceding WrestleMania 41. Lynch also discussed assaulting Lyra Valkyria during last week’s broadcast. These admissions prompted the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion to appear.
