Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s trajectory towards All Elite Wrestling’s major summer event, All In Texas, scheduled for July 12, 2025, is currently ambiguous. Despite his recent involvement with The Hurt Syndicate, his specific participation in the prominent show has not been clarified.
Recent insights from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select have tempered expectations regarding a rumored trios match involving MJF alongside The Hurt Syndicate. Sapp indicated he did not believe such a match would occur and stated he is unaware of the current creative plans for Friedman and the faction.
Adding to the uncertainty, another potential matchup for FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) at All In Texas has reportedly been discussed, potentially pitting them against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. This development would leave AEW World Tag Team Champions Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate without the rumored FTR challenge.

Friedman’s storyline association with The Hurt Syndicate is, however, anticipated to continue through AEW’s Double or Nothing event in May 2025. FTR’s expected challenge for the tag titles follows their recent change in demeanor at the Dynasty event in April 2025, where they are now managed by Stokely Hathaway.
