On-screen interactions during the May 12th episode of WWE RAW have sparked speculation about a potential future feud between Rusev and Sheamus. Sheamus was notably seen speaking with Akira Tozawa about the dominant Rusev.
During this backstage segment, Sheamus reportedly referred to Rusev as a “Hairy Neanderthal” while attempting to motivate Tozawa. This occurred as Rusev continues his impactful return to WWE, recently targeting Alpha Academy members.
Sheamus himself made his return to WWE RAW programming on May 5th but has not yet entered a major storyline. This has led to suggestions that his interaction concerning Rusev could be an early sign of a developing rivalry.
