Jonathan Coachman has publicly stated his belief that Cody Rhodes will be part of WWE SummerSlam 2025. The assertion was made during a recent edition of his podcast.
Cody Rhodes has been absent from WWE television since his Undisputed WWE Championship loss, which occurred at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. His potential return date has been a topic of considerable speculation.
During the “Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word” podcast, co-host Gabby LaSpisa raised the question of Rhodes’ SummerSlam availability. “We haven’t seen him. We don’t know if he’s gonna be back for SummerSlam. I hope so,” LaSpisa remarked.

In a direct response to LaSpisa’s uncertainty, Coachman confidently affirmed Rhodes’ presence at the major summer event. “He is. He is. He is,” Coachman declared.
On the same podcast episode, Coachman also relayed information he attributed to a source. This included a purported plan for a major six-man tag team match, involving musician Travis Scott, to headline the second night of WWE SummerSlam 2025.
Coachman further mentioned his source indicated an eventual on-screen interaction between John Cena and The Rock. This development is reportedly anticipated by the end of the summer.
Jonathan Coachman’s emphatic statement suggests a potential return for Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam. While such podcast claims generate interest, official confirmation from WWE will ultimately determine Rhodes’ status and the realization of these reported plans.
