AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné boldly declared herself “the Beyonce of wrestling” during a recent discussion with Denise Salcedo. Moné asserted her status as the top figure in the industry. “You’re talking to the biggest star in all of professional wrestling, in all of women’s wrestling,” she stated.
This self-assessment ties into her significant aspirations within AEW. “That’s what I’ve been dreaming about, main eventing All In,” Moné revealed, referring to the event as AEW’s “Super Bowl.” She further claimed, “I put women’s wrestling on the map.”
Beyond her own accolades, Moné offered considerable praise for AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm. “I was watching Toni weeks upon weeks, and I was so captivated by her charisma, character, and presence,” Moné shared, recalling her observations before joining AEW.

She described Storm as “one of the best talents in the whole world,” adding, “I’ve never seen a woman captivate a character so on demand like she does.” However, Moné concluded with a competitive jab: “She brings so much to AEW, and I can’t wait to take that all away from here [laughs],” (quote courtesy of Fightful.com).
Moné’s statements underscore her confidence and main event goals. Her comments on Storm acknowledge a top peer while simultaneously hinting at future high-stakes confrontations between the champions.
