Morgan had been away from WWE television while filming a role in the movie Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo. Prior to her hiatus, she, alongside Raquel Rodriguez, held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, having regained the titles on the April 21 episode of WWE RAW. Their last televised match was a successful championship defense on April 22 against Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin.
