During an appearance on the Rule Breakers podcast hosted by Zach Zimmerman, Saraya discussed the continued circulation of explicit footage of her that was leaked years ago. When the conversation turned to online exposure and sex tapes, Saraya directly addressed the past events.
“Well, you know, I… you know, everyone knows this. I did have some leaks of me sexually online,” Saraya stated. Zimmerman responded respectfully, indicating he had not watched the footage because he heard she did not want people to. Saraya acknowledged his sentiment, leading to a brief, humorous exchange where Zimmerman joked about sending them to friends for descriptions.
Saraya then conveyed her ongoing frustration with the situation, revealing, “People send me these clips all the time still. I’m like, ‘Get the f* over it.’”* She also offered a self-critique of the leaked material, remarking, “But when I see it, I’m just like, ‘Oh god, Ry, what are you doing?’” Additionally, she commented on the recording method, joking about its outdated nature: “On the old f**ing camcorder too. So it’s just like not good quality, which is great. Yes, it’s vintage.”

In her memoir, “Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives,” and in other recent discussions, Saraya has further elaborated on the significant negative impact the 2017 leaks had on her mental well-being. She has described experiencing thoughts of self-harm and facing intense public scrutiny at the age of 19, feeling pressured within the relationship at the time. Reflecting on the creation of the content, she mentioned, “I look back on it now and think: ‘Ugh, what was I doing?’…I felt gross afterwards. I don’t know how [it was leaked], but I have my thoughts. I had to drink to be able to do those things, and now everyone was getting to see them.”
Saraya has consistently spoken out against the prolonged stigma and cyberbullying resulting from the leaks, while also highlighting her journey of resilience and recovery.
Currently a free agent after her departure from AEW, Saraya is now directing her attention towards future endeavors, which may include acting, her podcast, and a potential return to WWE if an opportunity arises.
