Her AEW contract was understood to be nearing its end around the beginning of June, and she was removed from the AEW online roster on May 31. At that specific time, her management indicated she was still under contract.
Fightful Select reported that May’s transition was in motion for several months.
She’d been making moves preparing for life after AEW over the last number of months.
AEW reportedly expressed interest in retaining May, though details of any offer made are unclear. Information from within AEW suggests her departure was handled professionally by both parties without significant issues.
