WWE Announces New Championship Match for Money in the Bank

A match for the Intercontinental Championship has been added to the card for WWE Money in the Bank tonight in Los Angeles.

The challenge was made during the WWE Worlds Collide event at the Kia Forum, which took place just hours before the premium live event at the Intuit Dome.

The situation unfolded after the opening six-man tag team match, where AAA’s Octagon Jr, Mr. Iguana, and Aero Star defeated Dragon Lee, Lince Dorado, and Cruz Del Toro.

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan were positioned at ringside for the contest. Following the match, Mysterio took to the microphone to belittle the AAA performers for their admiration of Rey Mysterio.

His comments instigated a brawl between himself and Octagon Jr, which required Mr. Iguana, Liv Morgan, and Aero Star to intervene and separate the two. Once the altercation was contained, Mysterio issued the challenge to Octagon Jr. for the Intercontinental Championship, to take place later in the evening at Money in the Bank.
