A first-time-ever match has been confirmed for the semifinals of the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament, as Jade Cargill is scheduled to face Roxanne Perez. The winner will advance to the tournament final at Night of Champions on June 28.
Cargill secured her place in the high-stakes semifinal during the June 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, where she emerged victorious from a Fatal Four-Way match. The bout also featured Nia Jax, Piper Niven, and Michin. During the contest, Jax and Niven formed a temporary alliance against Cargill, at one point driving her over the ringside announce desk.
The partnership between Jax and Niven dissolved when Niven interrupted a pinfall attempt by Jax. This dissension allowed Cargill to re-enter the match and capitalize on the chaos, delivering her finisher, Jaded, to Niven to secure the win.

Perez advanced to the semifinal round by winning her own qualifying match on WWE RAW. While the specific brand that will host the upcoming match between Cargill and Perez has not yet been announced, the winner of the overall tournament will receive a world championship opportunity at SummerSlam.
Heading into the unprecedented matchup, betting markets have established Cargill as the significant favorite to win the entire tournament, with 1/3 odds that imply a 75% probability of victory.
