Roman Reigns’ current WWE contract is reportedly undergoing renegotiations with TKO, according to recent updates. The Tribal Chief has been absent from WWE programming since the April 8 episode of WWE RAW, where he was attacked by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker following his WrestleMania 41 loss.
Initial rumors suggested Reigns would return at Money in the Bank 2025, but his absence has extended with no confirmed comeback date. Spanish commentator Hugo Savinovich claimed TKO is reviewing Reigns’ contract, which was previously rumored to be worth $15 million annually, due to his reduced schedule.
Reigns last competed in the main event of WrestleMania 41, losing a Triple Threat match against CM Punk and Seth Rollins after Paul Heyman betrayed him. His post-WrestleMania appearance on RAW ended with Breakker aligning with Rollins, further sidelining Reigns.

While WWE has not officially addressed his status, internal reports suggest Reigns is transitioning into a “special attraction” role, similar to Brock Lesnar’s part-time schedule. Speculation points to a potential return at SummerSlam 2025 for a major feud with Rollins and Breakker.
Despite contract renegotiation talks, Reigns remains one of WWE’s highest-paid stars, with no confirmed changes to his earnings. His return storyline is expected to revolve around reclaiming his position after Heyman and Breakker’s betrayal.
