Jonathan Coachman has presented a perspective on the injury sustained by Liv Morgan during the most recent episode of WWE RAW. The former announcer suggested a direct correlation between the incident and the reduction of non-televised live events, also known as house shows, from WWE’s operational schedule.
The comments followed Morgan’s match against Kairi Sane on Monday, which resulted in an injury that is anticipated to remove her from active competition for several months. Coachman took to social media to articulate his viewpoint on the matter.
“Liv’s injury brings up exactly what we talked about yesterday. Lack of house show = possible injury because your cardio can’t possibly be top shelf AND it limits the amount you can do in a match. Body not used to non-stop bumping,” Coachman stated.
He further elaborated on the physical conditioning aspect for performers who are not consistently active in the ring outside of televised programming.

“You’re not going to do house shows and your body is not used to bumping four or five days a week and you are not going to train at the Performance Center. You are opening yourself up to injuries,” he added.
WWE’s parent company, TKO, has implemented cost-cutting strategies that include a significant decrease in the number of house shows. This business decision has led to some fan discontent regarding the increasing ticket prices for televised events.
Morgan’s injury introduces uncertainty for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, as she is one-half of the current titleholders. This has led to concerns among fans about the potential for another championship reign to be concluded by an injury.
