Liv Morgan sustained a dislocated shoulder during her match against Kairi Sane on the June 17 episode of WWE RAW. The injury forced Morgan to forfeit the match and receive assistance from medical staff backstage.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that internal discussions within WWE indicate the injury will require surgery. Morgan is expected to miss several months of in-ring competition due to the shoulder issue.
This injury has prompted a significant reshuffling of WWE’s creative plans. Morgan had recently been involved in a storyline with Nikki Bella, which was anticipated to culminate at the Evolution Premium Live Event. The current uncertainty surrounding Morgan’s return timeline also raises questions regarding the status of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which she currently holds with Raquel Rodriguez.
