There is currently no confirmed date for Roman Reigns’ return to WWE programming. However, reports from the past week indicate that his comeback is anticipated to occur in time for SummerSlam. The event is scheduled for August 2 and 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium.
Reigns has not appeared on television since the episode of WWE RAW that followed WrestleMania 41. His absence from programming is the result of a storyline attack by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. That segment occurred after Paul Heyman aligned with Rollins during Reigns’ match at WrestleMania.
The primary expected storyline for his return involves a confrontation with Seth Rollins to seek retribution for the attack. One theory suggests this could lead to Reigns reuniting with The Usos to counteract Rollins’ faction.

Alternative scenarios place Reigns directly back into the world championship picture. WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested a potential program between Reigns and John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Other speculative feuds include challenges against Goldberg or Cody Rhodes.
While earlier reports suggested a possible return in June, it is now considered unlikely that Reigns will appear at the Night of Champions event on June 28. During his time away from WWE, there have also been reports of Reigns exploring acting opportunities.
