The final match for the 2025 WWE King of the Ring tournament is now official. Cody Rhodes will compete against his longtime friend and former mentor, Randy Orton, at the upcoming WWE Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The matchup was solidified during the June 23 episode of WWE RAW in Columbus, OH. In the main event, Rhodes faced “Main Event” Jey Uso in the last semifinal bout of the tournament. The contest pitted the two friends and former tag team champions against one another in a hard-fought encounter.
Ultimately, Rhodes secured a pinfall victory over Uso to punch his ticket to the finals.

The high-stakes match against Orton this weekend carries a significant prize, as the winner will earn a world championship opportunity at WWE SummerSlam, which takes place on either August 2 or August 3 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
