AEW is reportedly maintaining secrecy surrounding plans for its AEW World Championship match scheduled for the All In event this July. Information obtained by Fightful Select from AEW sources suggests that details about both the winner of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and the subsequent title match at All In Texas are being closely guarded within the promotion.
The structure dictates that the competitor who wins the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament earns a championship opportunity at All In. Both the men’s and women’s tournament finals are set to conclude at the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
The women’s tournament final currently involves Jamie Hayter facing Mercedes Mone. For the men’s final, Will Ospreay is scheduled to compete against the victor of a match between Hangman Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher, which is slated for the April 30 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The reason behind the closely guarded nature of the All In world title match plans is not confirmed. It is unknown if AEW management has yet to make a final decision or if they are deliberately restricting the information internally.
Jon Moxley is the current AEW World Champion. He is scheduled to defend the title against Samoa Joe on May 14 during the AEW Beach Break special episode of Dynamite.
