AEW Star May Have Dropped Major Spoiler For Double Or Nothing 2025

Sammy Guevara, currently an ROH World Tag Team Champion with Dustin Rhodes as the “Sons of Texas,” is preparing for a significant AEW World Tag Team Championship challenge against The Hurt Syndicate at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2025, and acknowledged the heightened threat with MJF joining his opponents, suggesting a call to The Von Erichs might be in order.

In a conversation with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone ahead of the May 25 pay-per-view, Sammy Guevara addressed the addition of MJF to The Hurt Syndicate, which also includes Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. “Yeah, we’re gonna [maybe need some help]. They’ve got MJF now, and that guy’s a piece of garbage, but you know, we’ve got the Von Erichs! All together, we’re Texas’ favorite sons, so maybe we’ll make a call to the Von Erichs and they can come help us out,” Guevara stated, acknowledging the upcoming challenge.

He added, “But yeah, The Hurt Syndicate, they’re big guys, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, it’s going to be a tough night for sure. Tough night for my body I’m sure, but hopefully by the end of the night, it will be worth it.”

Reflecting on the event’s history, Guevara expressed his enthusiasm for competing at this year’s Double or Nothing, which marks the seventh iteration and the sixth anniversary of the inaugural show. “I feel very happy that I’m on this one. I’ve been on almost every single one, I only missed last year’s, so hopefully we’ll go and bring some gold back and make this a Double Or Nothing to remember,” he remarked.
