AEW prominent competitor Keith Lee recently offered a personal update via social media as his in-ring absence continues. Lee has remained off programming since late 2023.
A fan on X inquired about his well-being, prompting a direct response from the 40-year-old performer. Lee stated, “Just finished up a monster leg day, so I am quite excellent, and definitely enjoying the day. Happy Friday to you friend. May the day treat you kindly.”
Lee, who joined AEW more than three years ago, previously revealed in January 2023 that he was scheduled for double surgeries. He has consistently used social media to communicate with fans and assure them of his eventual comeback to the ring.
Despite considerable fan anticipation for his return, current reports do not suggest any immediate plans for his re-entry into active competition.
Lee’s most recent AEW match took place at Collision Holiday Bash 2023, where he secured a victory over Brian Cage. He was originally slated to face Swerve Strickland in a singles match at Worlds End 2023 but was withdrawn from the event due to an undisclosed injury.
