A potential plan to reunite Cope and Christian Cage for a tag team match against FTR remains in consideration, though the timing for the bout is now uncertain. The initial expectation was that the match would occur at AEW’s All In event, but that is now contingent on other storyline developments.
During a recent edition of the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp addressed the status of the rumored tag team match. According to Sapp, the match is still a prospective plan, but its placement at All In is not guaranteed.
The main factor complicating the timeline is Christian Cage’s ongoing involvement with his group, The Patriarchy. Sapp explained that Christian is focused on seeing that storyline fully develop before shifting focus.

The history between Cope and Cage is extensive, beginning with their early careers in WWE and extending to a bitter feud in AEW over the TNT Championship, which Cope ultimately won.
