After Miro, Penta, and Rey Fenix, Another Talent Leaves AEW

Zak Knight has left AEW following the expiration of his contract, according to PW Insider. The British wrestler, known as Zak Zodiac, joins several other talents who have departed the company recently, including Rey Fenix, Ricky Starks, and Miro.

Knight made his AEW debut in November 2022 but didn’t begin wrestling for Tony Khan’s promotions until December 2023, when he appeared in ROH. The 33-year-old signed with AEW in early 2023 and joined his sister Saraya’s faction, The Outcasts.

Despite being signed for over a year, Knight competed in just one match on AEW television – a victory over Angelo Parker on the April 10, 2024 edition of Rampage. He mainly worked dark matches for the company while also performing in ROH and on the independent scene.

It remains unknown if Knight is working on a new agreement with AEW. His departure coincides with several other talent releases by Tony Khan in recent weeks, suggesting the British performer could be heading to the wider free agent market.
