WWE RAW superstar AJ Styles has accepted a challenge from WWE ID prospect Sean Legacy for a first-time-ever match. Styles confirmed his acceptance via social media with a concise, one-word message: “Bet!”
The challenge originated during an interview Legacy conducted with The Wrestling Classic. Legacy expressed his desire to face Styles, citing shared backgrounds and similar in-ring styles. “AJ Styles in a heartbeat, man,” Legacy stated. “Listen, dude, he’s from Georgia, I’m from Georgia. He’s a Bulldog fan, I’m a Bulldog fan. I do some similar stuff, he does similar stuff, man. I don’t care how long the match is, dude, I would love to wrestle AJ Styles.” This declaration came during the 0:05 to 0:21 mark of the interview.
Styles’ current trajectory on the WWE RAW brand has been focused on securing the Intercontinental Championship, currently held by Dominik Mysterio. However, he recently failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. His qualifying attempt saw him compete against both El Grande Americano and CM Punk, with El Grande Americano ultimately securing the victory.
No specific information regarding a potential future match between Styles and Legacy has been released. The recent Worlds Collide 2025 event, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, featured numerous high-profile bouts, but no contest involving both Styles and Legacy was part of the card.
