Abadon has announced their departure from AEW, confirming that their contract with the company will not be renewed when it expires in June. The talent, who has been with the promotion for five years, shared the news through an emotional Instagram stories post on Friday.
In their statement, Abadon conveyed mixed emotions regarding the end of their AEW run but expressed a firm determination to continue their wrestling career. “My time with AEW is coming to an end. My contract expires in June and I will not be renewed,” Abadon wrote. “The emotions I’m currently trying to manage are incredibly difficult and full of conflict as I reflect on my time there.”
Despite the disappointment, Abadon remains focused on future opportunities and professional growth within the industry. “My goal is to not let this be it for me, because I love wrestling too much to just stop,” the statement continued. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work that I will now be able to show case more often. While my heart is currently broken you can bet that I’m still going to show up for training next week.”
Known for their unique horror-themed “Living Dead Girl” persona and distinctive in-ring style, Abadon joined AEW in 2020. Their most recent appearance on AEW television was at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December 2023, where they faced Julia Hart. In addition to their AEW work, Abadon has also made appearances for Ring of Honor in recent years.
Signaling their commitment to staying active, Abadon made their Game Changer Wrestling debut this past April, defeating Sonny Kiss at Effy’s Big Gay Brunch. For future bookings, Abadon provided an email address: “If you are looking to book me please send an email to bookabadonhere@gmail.com Thank you.”
