PWInsider Elite reports Leyla Hirsch will depart AEW on February 28 when her contract expires, joining recent exits of Malakai Black, Miro, and Ricky Starks from the promotion.

Another Star Announces Departure from AEW

Another talent departure is set to hit All Elite Wrestling as Leyla Hirsch’s contract expires tomorrow, February 28. According to PWInsider Elite, Hirsch will not be re-signing with the company, making her the latest in a series of recent talent exits.

This development follows the departures of several prominent AEW stars earlier this month. Malakai Black, Miro, and Ricky Starks all recently left the company, with Starks already making his debut in WWE NXT under the new ring name Ricky Saints.

Unlike cases involving contract termination, Hirsch will become a free agent immediately upon her contract expiration with no non-compete period restricting her future options.

Hirsch initially joined AEW in 2020, but has been used sparingly on the company’s main programming in recent times. Her last match on AEW Dynamite took place back in March 2022, while her final AEW appearance came in June 2024.

For the past several months, Hirsch has primarily performed for Ring of Honor, where she last competed at the Final Battle event in December. During that show, she challenged Red Velvet for the ROH TV Championship but was unsuccessful in her attempt to capture the title.

There’s currently no information regarding whether the decision for Hirsch to leave was made by the company or the performer herself, nor are there any indications about her future plans in professional wrestling.
