During the May 30 broadcast of WWE SmackDown from Knoxville’s Thompson-Boling Arena, Naomi punched her ticket to the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. She emerged victorious in a fiercely contested triple threat qualifying match against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax. The match transpired early in the night, following an incendiary opening segment where Naomi confronted Bianca Belair, admitting to entering Belair’s parents’ home uninvited, significantly escalating their personal animosity.
The qualifying contest saw all three competitors vie intensely for the coveted opportunity. An initial offensive flurry from Naomi was curtailed, leading to a period where Nia Jax asserted her power, delivering a top-rope leg drop to Naomi for a near fall while Jade Cargill was recovering outside the ring.
Later, Jade Cargill mounted a significant comeback, highlighted by a powerful spinebuster that nearly secured her the win. Cargill also successfully executed her Jaded finishing maneuver on Naomi, but Nia Jax intervened to break the pinfall attempt. A critical sequence unfolded when Jax positioned Naomi on her shoulders for a Super Samoan Drop, only for Cargill to interrupt with a splash on Jax, again resulting in a two-count. The culmination of the match saw Nia Jax deliver a splash to Jade Cargill, leaving an opening for Naomi, who capitalized by rolling Jax up for the pinfall.
With this victory, Naomi joins an increasingly formidable field for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Alexa Bliss secured her spot on the May 16 installment of WWE SmackDown, while Roxanne Perez won her qualifying match on WWE RAW. Rhea Ripley and Giulia have also previously qualified. The Money in the Bank event is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
