WWE has altered the location for an upcoming NXT television taping, shifting the production originally scheduled for next week at Tampa’s Yuengling Center to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, the brand’s home base.
This decision, according to a report from PWInsider, was primarily influenced by WWE’s internal evaluation of ticket sales for the Tampa venue and concerns regarding the potential on-screen atmosphere. Although a number of tickets had been sold for the Yuengling Center, the sales volume reportedly did not meet the company’s expectations for an arena of that size.
The PWInsider.com report further indicated a belief within WWE that the television broadcast would benefit from the Orlando setting. Citing internal discussions, the report noted, “The show would come across stronger in terms of atmosphere on television from the WWE Performance Center.” There was reportedly apprehension among officials that utilizing a larger arena with a potentially smaller turnout might result in a less dynamic visual presentation for viewers.
