According to Becky Lynch, a specific 2019 incident involving a steel chair permanently fractured her relationship with fellow WWE performer Bayley. In a recent Variety interview, Lynch described how Bayley’s chair shot marked the end of their friendship.
“In 2019, she hit me in the back with a chair, and we have not been in any way friendly since,” Lynch stated, adding, “In fact, we’ve been rivals in some capacity.” This moment seemingly overshadowed earlier friction Lynch recalled from a 2014 match.
Lynch suggested differing goals within the original Four Horsewomen (including Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks) contributed, contrasting her drive with Bayley’s alleged desire for popularity. The former NXT allies have evidently remained distant ever since that pivotal attack.

Lynch’s frustrations potentially boiled over recently at WWE Backlash. After failing to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Valkyria, Lynch attacked the champion post-match, adding another layer to her current volatile status.
