During the press conference following Money in the Bank on June 7, the newly crowned WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch, revealed a personal sting that came with the night. She shared that her four-year-old daughter, Roux, who was watching a WWE event live from the front row for the very first time, was not rooting for her mother but for a different competitor.
Naomi, who ultimately secured the briefcase, was the one who had captured Roux’s support. “You know what was the most hurtful thing is that tonight, my child watched the show live in the audience in the very front row for the first time,” Lynch stated. “And you know who she wanted to see win that match? She wanted to see Naomi win that match. So I have a problem with that.”
The evening held more emotional distress for Lynch’s daughter. During Lynch’s own title match against Lyra Valkyria, the negative chants from the Los Angeles crowd proved overwhelming for Roux. While the physicality of the match was manageable for her to watch, the chants of “Becky Sucks!” from the Intuit Dome audience caused her to cry.

This reaction from the crowd led to Roux being escorted out of the arena by security. Consequently, she missed the moment her mother won the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. “That made my baby cry. She had to walk out,” Lynch recounted. “She did not even see me win the championship, or Lyra raise my hand.”
When questioned about the threat of a potential cash-in from Naomi, Lynch dismissed any fear, linking her feelings directly to a past incident. “I’m not afraid of nothing,” she asserted, before adding a personal layer to their rivalry. “Naomi walked out on me. Naomi walked out on me. She thinks she’s going to come for me, she’s got another thing coming.” This reference to a May 2022 event, now compounded by her own daughter’s admiration for Naomi, has intensified the personal animosity between the two champions.
