During the June 2, 2025, broadcast of WWE RAW, Liv Morgan offered a quiet acknowledgment of Carlito, a gesture that occurred as news circulated regarding his impending departure from WWE. Carlito himself confirmed via social media that WWE will not renew his contract, which is set to expire in approximately two weeks from his announcement around June 1st.

Carlito, who had been associated with The Judgment Day, addressed his exit with humor on X, joking about WWE wanting repayment for his infrequent appearances and saying he might return in another 13 years. He expressed gratitude to WWE and the fans. His full-time return to the company in 2023 followed a well-received appearance at Backlash in Puerto Rico.
The non-renewal of contracts extends beyond Carlito. R-Truth’s WWE agreement is also not being extended, though, like Carlito, he has not been outright released and will become a free agent once his current deal concludes. He initially announced his “release” on June 1st, with clarifications about the non-renewal emerging on June 2nd.
