At Wrestling Noticias, accuracy and accountability are at the core of everything we do. We hold ourselves to high journalistic standards, and when we fall short, we want to make it right. This page explains how we handle corrections and how you can help us improve.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
No newsroom is immune to mistakes. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. We are committed to correcting errors promptly, transparently, and visibly. We believe our readers deserve to trust that the information we publish is accurate, and we take every report of an error seriously.
How We Handle Corrections
Minor Corrections
For minor errors — such as typos, misspellings, or small factual inaccuracies that do not significantly affect the meaning or context of a story — we will update the article and add a brief correction note at the bottom of the piece.
Example:
Correction (February 19, 2026): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that the event took place on Saturday. It took place on Sunday. This has been corrected.
Significant Corrections
For errors that materially affect the substance of an article — such as incorrect match results, misattributed quotes, wrong dates for events, or factual inaccuracies about contracts, signings, or releases — we will:
- Correct the error in the article immediately.
- Add a prominent correction notice at the top of the article, clearly explaining what was wrong and what the accurate information is.
- If the article was shared on social media, we will issue a follow-up post noting the correction when appropriate.
Example:
Correction (February 19, 2026): This article originally reported that [Wrestler Name] had signed with [Promotion]. This was incorrect. [Wrestler Name] has not signed with [Promotion] and remains a free agent. We regret the error and have updated the article accordingly.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate or based on false information, we may retract the article entirely. Retracted articles will be replaced with a retraction notice that explains why the article was removed. We do not delete articles without explanation.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not silently edit published articles to remove errors without noting the correction.
- We do not delete articles simply because they contain information that a subject finds unfavorable, as long as the information is accurate.
- We do not alter quotes or factual claims after publication without a correction notice.
How to Report an Error
If you spot an error in any of our articles, we want to hear from you. Please contact us with the following information:
- The title or URL of the article in question.
- A clear description of the error you have identified.
- If possible, a source or reference that supports the correct information.
Email: [email protected]
We review all correction requests and aim to respond within 48 hours. If a correction is warranted, we will update the article as soon as possible.
