Eddy Thorpe has publicly addressed his WWE release for the first time after being let go by the company on May 2. The former NXT star was among several talents cut last Friday, with additional departures confirmed the following day.
Thorpe initially acknowledged his release with a brief social media post but had not commented further until now. On Twitter, he thanked WWE for his time with the company, writing:
We move forward without fear. Thank you @WWENXT @WWE. Hoka Hey.
Notably, Thorpe also changed his Twitter handle back to his real name, Karl Fredericks—the ring name he used before signing with WWE in 2023. The move suggests he intends to return to wrestling under his original moniker once his non-compete clause expires.
