First Queen Of The Ring Finalist Set

Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss during WWE SmackDown to become the first superstar to advance to the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament final.

The first finalist for the 2025 WWE Queen of the Ring tournament is set, as Asuka secured her spot with a victory on the June 20 episode of SmackDown. In a high-stakes semifinal match, Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The win marks a significant moment for Asuka in her first major singles match since returning from a year-long absence. She sealed the victory over Bliss with her new finisher, the Empress Impact, solidifying her position as a top contender.

With the win, Asuka now advances to the tournament final at Night of Champions on June 28. She will face the winner of the upcoming WWE RAW semifinal match between Jade Cargill and Roxanne Perez, which is scheduled for the June 23 broadcast.

The men’s side of the bracket also saw semifinal action on SmackDown, with Randy Orton facing Sami Zayn. The winner of that match will go on to face the victor of the RAW semifinal between Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

The stakes are high for all competitors, as the winners of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will earn a world championship match at WWE SummerSlam in August.
