Carlito’s second tenure with WWE has concluded, as his contract with the organization has expired. The company elected not to offer him a new deal, and he is now a free agent able to sign with any promotion.
He confirmed his change in status through a post on Instagram.
“Back in business!! #fullyavailable #nocontract #libre #ready #noworries,” the post read.

The wrestler’s most recent period with WWE started after a notable surprise appearance at Backlash in 2023, which was held in Puerto Rico. A strong reception from the audience at that event precipitated a new contract, which led to his incorporation into the Latino World Order on SmackDown.
However, his television presence decreased in recent months, a change that became more pronounced following the storyline split of the LWO faction. This exit concludes his second run with the company.
His first period of employment with WWE began in 2004, where he defeated John Cena for the United States Championship in his debut match. He would also capture the Intercontinental Championship upon his WWE RAW debut and later won the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside his brother, Primo, before his release in 2010.
