Former WWE Star Defends Jey Uso Amidst Recent Criticism

A former WWE star has responded to online criticism labeling Jey Uso's recent main event push as 'forced' by the company.

Former WWE performer Tom Pestock, known as Baron Corbin, has publicly defended Jey Uso’s standing in the company following a fan’s claim that his push is “forced.” The comment from Pestock came in the wake of significant developments in Uso’s career trajectory.

The discussion surrounds Uso’s recent loss of the World Heavyweight Championship back to GUNTHER on a recent edition of WWE RAW, which concluded his 51-day reign. This title run began when Uso defeated GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41, a milestone that followed his victory in the 2025 Royal Rumble match.

Immediately following the title loss, it was announced that Uso would be the final entrant into the 2025 King of the Ring Tournament. This placement prompted the online criticism, as Uso now has an immediate opportunity to reclaim championship contention. He is scheduled to compete against Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed in a tournament match on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.

In response to a fan asserting Uso’s push was contrived, Pestock offered a strong rebuttal.

“What the f**k are you talking about. He got over as organic as you can! Every crowd go nuts when his music hits. No insane moves needed. True definition of being over. Music = pop!,” Pestock stated.
