Goldberg has confirmed he’s injury-free and progressing in his physical preparation for his planned 2025 WWE retirement match. Speaking on The Carcast, the 58-year-old legend revealed his improved condition, stating:

The former WCW champion specifically noted significant improvement in his previously troublesome shoulder, comparing his rehabilitation process to restoring a classic car:

Much better… I can do things with it—I couldn’t do anything with it in December. It’s like rebuilding a car—you’ve got to strip it down and sequentially build it back properly.

Goldberg’s last WWE match occurred at Crown Jewel 2022 against Bobby Lashley. Recent speculation suggests his retirement bout coul Gunther and Jey Uso on June 9 may further establish this potential showdown.

With Goldberg targeting a summer 2025 farewell, WWE’s creative plans for his final appearance continue developing as the Hall of Famer focuses on entering the match at full strength.
