The former Universal Champion has not appeared in WWE since confronting Gunther at last year’s Bad Blood event, where his son was in attendance. Gunther recently captured the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jey Uso on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW.
Speculation continues regarding Goldberg’s potential return, with rumors suggesting a retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia. The 58-year-old has been linked to a final bout against Gunther, reigniting their storyline from 2024.
WWE has yet to officially confirm Goldberg’s involvement in the upcoming event.
