He also revealed that he has been undergoing stem cell treatment in preparation for his final in-ring appearance.
Goldberg discussed his preparations for his final match on November 21, 2024, noting he has more time to get ready than for any of his previous recent matches. He stated that he expects fans to be “pleasantly surprised” by his performance due to the extensive preparation period. Goldberg emphasized the importance of meeting his own high standards for his last WWE appearance.

There is a possibility that Bret Hart could align with Goldberg in his pursuit of Gunther’s championship. The Ring General has maintained a dominant run since his arrival in WWE. This includes a victory over Jey Uso on June 9, reclaiming his top position after a loss to Uso at WrestleMania 41.
Goldberg, who has largely dominated his opponents in the past, enters this match against Gunther as the underdog. This could mark Goldberg’s final run in WWE, and the company could choose to involve Bret Hart. Hart and Goldberg were previously a tag team in WCW, where they won the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Despite a prior in-ring incident that strained their relationship, a reunion could create an iconic moment in Atlanta at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
A 10-time WWE Champion could return after nine months to assist Goldberg in defeating Gunther. This scenario aligns with events during Hart’s last appearance on WWE RAW, where Gunther interrupted and mocked him. The Ring General referenced Hart’s real-life issues with Goldberg and claimed Hart was his second favorite wrestler, after Goldberg.
