Goldberg’s Return Date Possibly Revealed

Internal WWE discussions reportedly include Goldberg, who seeks a retirement match. GUNTHER's current trajectory fuels speculation of a major clash.

Reports suggest WWE is internally discussing a potential in-ring return for Hall of Famer Goldberg. This coincides with his stated ambition for a definitive final match to conclude his career.

Goldberg recently confirmed he is actively training for this retirement bout, aiming for it before the end of 2025. “I do not know who, when or where I’m wrestling,” Goldberg revealed.

Speculation increasingly points to GUNTHER as a prospective opponent for Goldberg’s farewell. A previous tense encounter between the two at WWE Bad Blood left a storyline open. GUNTHER’s upcoming high-profile WWE RAW match against Jey Uso in Phoenix on June 9th is intensifying these rumors. WWE is reportedly developing a significant angle for GUNTHER.

This potential storyline for GUNTHER may coincide with WWE’s next major event in Saudi Arabia this June. He is also slated to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul from May 24th.

Goldberg’s last match in WWE was against Bobby Lashley at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia during 2022.

A marquee match against GUNTHER would offer Goldberg a significant platform for his retirement. For GUNTHER, facing Goldberg could further cement his status, potentially by retiring a legend and shaping WWE’s top-tier landscape.
