Gunther’s Title Reign Expected To Be Short, Says Analyst

Journalist Bill Apter has offered a prediction regarding the length of Gunther's current World Heavyweight Championship reign.

Journalist and Hall of Fame member Bill Apter believes that Gunther’s second reign as World Heavyweight Champion will be short-lived. During a WrestleVotes Q&A session, Apter directly challenged the notion that the new champion would hold the title for an extended period.

When a fan proposed that Gunther would remain champion through SummerSlam, Apter offered a definitive counter.

“I don’t think so, I don’t think so,” Apter stated.

Apter’s theory posits that Goldberg will defeat Gunther for the championship at the Saturday Night’s Main Event next month. The basis for this prediction stems from reports suggesting that the title was moved from Jey Uso specifically to facilitate a championship match between Gunther and Goldberg.

Adding another layer to his forecast, Apter suggested a potential twist involving what could be Goldberg’s final WWE match. The rationale for Gunther’s reign being brief is further supported by the possibility of Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract should Goldberg emerge victorious.

Gunther captured the World Heavyweight Championship for a second time by defeating Jey Uso on last week’s edition of WWE RAW. His first reign with the title lasted 258 days before he lost the championship to Uso at WrestleMania 41.
