A significant challenge has been laid down in AEW, as Thunder Rosa has publicly called out Britt Baker for a Hair vs. Hair match. The proposed confrontation is aimed for AEW All In: Texas, scheduled to take place in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Rosa utilized her YouTube vlog to make this daring proposition, seeking to add another chapter to one of the promotion’s most notable rivalries.
Explaining her reasoning, Thunder Rosa stated, “I threw a challenge, just a little challenge. Hair vs. Hair against my nemesis Britt Baker. The reason why I’m doing it is… One, I know there is money on the table. Two, she’s bonded by blood with me.” She further elaborated on the enduring nature of their connection, adding, “She cannot get rid of my name, no matter what happens. Ever. That gives me a lot of pleasure.”
The history between Rosa and Baker is extensive, highlighted by their critically praised Unsanctioned Lights Out match in 2021, a benchmark for the AEW women’s division. This new stipulation of a Hair vs. Hair contest introduces an intensely personal element to their ongoing animosity. As of now, AEW has not officially confirmed this match for the All In: Texas card.

Britt Baker’s potential involvement is further amplified by her absence from AEW programming since November 2024. Her last televised match occurred on the November 13, 2024, edition of AEW Dynamite, where she was victorious against Penelope Ford. Reports from wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp indicate Baker inked a five-year contract extension with AEW in the fall of 2021, securing her with the company until at least the fall of 2026, with a potential extension for injury time.
While the possibility of Rosa versus Baker looms, AEW All In: Texas already features significant championship encounters. Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page. Page secured this championship opportunity by winning the 2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2025.
In another major title contest, “Timeless” Toni Storm is set to face Mercedes Moné for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Mercedes Moné earned her place as challenger by capturing the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup, overcoming Jamie Hayter in the tournament final at Double or Nothing. The potential addition of a Rosa vs. Baker Hair vs. Hair match would undoubtedly elevate the stakes for the Texas spectacle. There has been some discussion regarding potential creative avenues for Baker’s return, including a speculative alliance with Deonna Purrazzo within The Vendetta faction.
